1. Is GOP now saying that a president is above the law?
Palm Beach Post

You can’t impeach a president while he’s in office, and now most Republican U.S. senators have concluded that you can’t impeach a president who is no longer in office. Does that mean a president is free to commit crimes while in office? Even treason?

Do we need to amend our Constitution to reflect that the president is above the law?

2. Rubio must think we're too "stupid" to remember Trump's actions
Once again, the transactional Florida Sen. Marco Rubio showed us who he really is. When asked about whether or not he thought the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump should be presented to the Senate, he said he would consider such a move "stupid," implying that since Trump is no longer president there is no need to hold him accountable for his actions.

Does Rubio think that we Floridians suffer from such a short attention span that we no longer remember that just three weeks ago the president of the United States instigated an insurrection by urging his followers to rise up and descend on the U.S. Capitol, the seat of democracy; that when they arrived, they proceeded to erect gallows, where shouts of "Hang Pence!" and assassinate other members of Congress were heard?

Does Rubio think we've forgotten that the former president tried to overturn a fair election (with the help of congressional enablers and conservative commentators) attempting to put a nail in the coffin of our democracy?

Does he think that we, the voters, are "stupid"?
