Ở phút thứ 8:50 video này, - Ông Nguyễn Ngọc Lập nói Từ năm 2000, Bộ Giáo Dục Hoa Kỳ không dạy Thuyết Tiến Hóa của Darwin nữa. Câu tuyên bố này hoàn toàn sai.
Thuyết này có nhiều tranh cãi khoa học, nhưng vẫn được duy trì.
Quyết định của Tối Cao Pháp Viện là dạy Thuyết Tiến Hóa phải dạy cả những vấn đề khoa học đang bàn cãi của môn đó nữa, (cả những góc cạnh chứng minh được, và những góc cạnh không chứng minh được) để học sinh biết tất cả những tranh luận khoa học.
Đồng thời, nói như thế không có nghĩa là có thể đem Thuyết Thiết Kế Thông Minh hay Thuyết Sáng Tạo của Ki-tô giáo vào để thay thế Thuyết Tiến Hóa của Darwin.
Dĩ nhiên đây là nói các trường công lập thôi.
