Đây là lí do cảnh sát Mỹ thường xuyên bắn chết dân,

Rittenhouse verdict opens moral divide
Re: The opinion piece “Rittenhouse had right to carry gun for self defense,” perhaps the writer meant that Rittenhouse did not break any law because the law of the state of Wisconsin allows for him to do what he did; at least, that is what the jury concluded. Surely every law is not “right” - if “right” means morally correct.
My opinion is that occasionally, if not often, there are differences between laws passed by legislators and what is morally correct. We are alleged to have “the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” but what about the right to medical care or the right to any other of a number of human needs? Whats right is somebody's opinion. My opinion is that the law that allows people to do what Rittenhouse did is not right, not morally correct; That’s just my opinion, or perhaps better said, my belief.

Justification for shooting unwarranted
The article Nov. 30 by Erich Pratt regarding Kyle Rittenhouse needs a comment as to his justification for killing two unarmed men.
First is if this “punk” kid had stayed home with mamma where he should have been, no one would have been killed. Rittenhouse illegally obtained a rifle, crossed state lines and had no business being at the protest.
The writer uses a justification that the two dead men had criminal records. Maybe the writer thinks that anyone with a criminal record deserves the death penalty. He sure is scraping the bottom of the barrel to justify the Rittenhouse's killings.

What “excellent defense weapons”?
Re: The Nov. 30 piece from Erich Platt: When was the last time we heard of a mass killing at a school, place of worship or public gathering where the murderer used “hands and feet?”
The “excellent defense weapons” that Platt praises are designed to expedite killing, nothing more. Kyle Rittenhouse illegally purchased and illegally carried an automatic weapon into a situation for which he had no training or authority. When Judge Schroeder threw out the gun charges, it was obvious that he had preemptively decided the case. Claiming that Rittenhouse was justified, due to prior offenses by those he shot, is ridiculous. Please note that Pratt poses this in the first sentence of his letter. This is the standard claim touted in rape cases by defense attorneys. Make the victim somehow responsible for the violator's actions. Too many guns, too many senseless killings. In Pratt's bizarre world, hands and feet are the real danger.

Column misses key points
Erich Pratt writes an interesting article entitled “Rittenhouse had right to carry gun for self-defense,” but he totally misses the point and contradicts himself in defending Kyle Rittenhouse. He cites four examples of people defending their businesses and homes in justifying Rittenhouse's actions. Yet, Rittenhouse was neither defending his home nor business. He traveled across state lines to engage in violence. Hardly defensible.
Jerry Farber, Boynton Beach, Florida, USA
